Musculoskeletal pain refers to discomfort or pain in structures that are vital to the body's movement, including bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. This type of pain can be localized in one area or spread across a larger part of the body. Causes can range from daily activities, improper posture, overuse, or due to an injury or underlying medical condition.
Symptoms and Diagnosis of Musculoskeletal Pain
Symptoms of musculoskeletal pain may widely vary but often include a deep, aching sensation, sharp or dull pain, stiffness, burning sensations in the muscles, and fatiguing easily. Diagnosing musculoskeletal pain requires a thorough medical examination by a healthcare professional. In-depth patient history, physical examination, and if necessary, diagnostic tests like X-rays, MRI, or EMG are used.
The treatment that Dr. Sheen did on my back was a life changer for me! The pain that I was experiencing on a daily basis is gone! Before, I could not ride in a car longer than 30 minutes without the pain starting in andon long trips I had to constantly be adjusting my seat, cushions and positions. I can sleep through the night without waking up in extreme pain and I can now sleep on my left side where I could not before.
The only drawback or side effect I have is that I can not completely bend my left leg without leg pain. Which is fine, I just avoid bending it very far or doing yoga, Lol. The right upper arm pain that he treated is better but I still am not able to lift a weight straight over my head without feeling discomfort. Which that is ok too, I am very grateful for his willingness to try it out on my issues.

Treatment and Management

PBM uses light therapy to activate the body's own healing mechanisms which in turn help to accelerate the healing process while also decreasing the inflammation associated with the injured tissue. This in itself decreases the discomfort many people experience with the injury.
